Determine whether the main control is faulty
If it is a master control failure, proceed as follows.
Check the PROG indicator of the single board on site. If it flashes frequently and abnormally, or the PROG red light is always on, directly unplug the single board and observe whether it can start work normally. If it cannot start normally, replace the main control board.
If the above operation is ineffective, check whether the master control slot is inverted.
After normal startup, check whether the configuration is lost. If it is lost, the non-ASON or packetized network element performs network management configuration download, and the ASON or packetized network element performs database repair, considering several options for parallel operation, such as network element database, network management script to configuration script, and historical patrol data to configuration script.
If it is not a master control failure, turn to determine whether the cross and service veneer failures.
Determine whether the crossover and service boards are faulty
Determine whether the crossover and service boards are unable to start as follows.
The single board cannot start normally on line, the network management display is gray or the network management fails to query the single board information.
Business interruption.
Check the BIOS version for errors.
For NGSDH products SSN1GXCSA, SSN1EXCSA, SSN1UXCSA, SSN1UXCSB veneer boards, check whether the base BIOS before upgrade is version 2.13 and before, and the extended BIOS of the target version is version 2.32 and after.
Verify that the base BIOS software is not loaded first when upgrading.
Try to reload the BIOS software, use the DC tool to create a board-level software loading task, select the basic BIOS of the crossover board to load, refer to the simulation package for the way, activate the crossover board, and wait for 5 minutes to check whether the veneer board is online.
Replace the veneer spare parts.
If it is not a crossover and the service veneer cannot be started, turn to determine whether the service configuration has been changed or lost.
Determine whether the business configuration has been changed or lost
If it is a configuration loss failure, follow the steps below.
Return the database, network management scripts, inspection scripts, and other information backed up before the upgrade.
For non-ASON or packetized network elements, download the network management configuration (provided that the network management has not uploaded the network management configuration after the configuration of the network element has changed or been lost); ASON or packetized network elements need to make configuration databases or configuration scripts to the current network for recovery, and at the same time as Huawei engineers of the United System do the recovery configuration, the field engineers can try to cut through the service at the site to manually restore some of the configurations.
If it is not a configuration loss failure, turn to determine whether the branch board veneer service interruption.
Determining whether a branch board single board service is interrupted
Judgment method: downstream low-order service interruption, no alarm or LP_TIM alarm at this end.
If the NGSDH product is upgraded from the product before R8 to R8 and later versions; turn the LP_TIM alarm monitoring on to eliminate the LP_TIM alarm.
