Processing

Ask the engineer to delete the SLQ16 single board first and then re-create the single board, then configure the ring multiplexing segment, normal.

Root Cause

Because the Huawei OSN3500 device supports software pairing, and the single board is a multi-optical port STM-16 single board, it should be able to be configured as a ring multiplexing segment, not because of the existence of this limitation. It is suspected that there is a problem with host processing.

After R&D analyzes the collected network element database, it is found that the single board fails to obtain the attribute of "support optical path sharing for multiplexed segments". The host detects this attribute when it creates a multiplexed segment in a non-parallel slot, and reports that it is not supported if both corresponding single boards do not have this attribute. It is suspected that the host does not assign this attribute to the board when it creates the board.
