When replacing a single board, you must first turn off the power switch on the DC power distribution box, and do not allow the interface to have a power plug attached. After the PIU is plugged in, then plug in the power plug, and finally turn on the power switch on the DC distribution box. At the same time, pay attention to the correspondence between the faulty veneer and the air switch of the DC distribution box to avoid misoperation on the spot causing the subrack to drop out or the power supply to be short-circuited.
Operation steps
1. Select spare parts. Select the spare parts with the same parameters as the replaced veneer. For the parameter information of the veneer, see Name and Characteristics.
2. Query and record the current alarm of the veneer.
3. Record the cable connection position of the single board and remove the cable.
4. Replace the veneer.
The Huawei OSN2500 device reports BD_STATUS when the PIU veneer is unplugged, and the alarm is lifted when the new veneer is brought online.
- If the replaced veneer is not configured with protection, the veneer is replaced directly.
- Configure protection to replace the primary and backup boards.
a. Replace the spare board.
b. Verify that the single board is working properly. Query the veneer alarms to verify that the original alarms have been cleared.
c. Restore the cable connections to the replacement veneer board to ensure that the spare board is also being powered.
d. Query the alarms and performance events in the network management, there are no new alarms and performance events, and query the normal operation of the service, indicating that the reversal is successful.
e. Replace the current spare veneer.
f. Verify that the single board is working normally. Query the single board alarms and confirm that the original alarms have been lifted. The corresponding PWRA or PWRB on the SAP veneer board should light green, depending on whether the power is accessed from A or B circuit.
g. Restore the single-board cable connection.
5. Verify thatthe PIU power supply board of theHuaweiOSN2500device works normally. Query the single-board alarms and confirm thatthe original alarms ofthe SDH equipmenthave been lifted.
