Problem Description
SSN3EGS4 board on OSN3500 device, configured with EVPLAN service, when configuring the forwarding port with new vlan id, the network management prompts an error: the number of service VLANs exceeds the allowed range of link aggregation, error code 41335

Alert message

The number of service VLANs exceeds the allowed range of link aggregation, error code 41335.


Processing
1. When the EGS4 board is configured with EVPLAN services, the board supports setting up to 4000 VLAN services, and the error will be prompted when the number of services exceeds 4000 VLANs.
2, but on-site query of all the VLAN forwarding table in the two VBs is only 604 services, it seems that there is no more than 4000
3, after confirming that for the broadcasting service of EVPLAN, the system defaults to take up a VLAN service resource for each forwarding vctrunk port, for example, in the EVPLAN service, a VLAN ID forwards 10 vctrunk ports at the same time, so it is not possible for the system to take up a vlan service resource for each VLAN ID. For example, if a VLAN ID in an EVPLAN service forwards 10 vctrunk ports at the same time, the number of occupied VLAN services will be 10, but it will still be displayed as 1 on the network management.
4. After checking the service configuration at the site, it is found that there are a large number of VLAN broadcast services in the previous 604 services, which have reached the upper limit of 4000 VLAN services of the single board, so it prompts an error when configuring a new VLAN forwarding table.

Root Cause
For the services that need to be handled differently according to the vlan carried by the message, the EMS4 board can only rely on the PVL table to realize them, and each vlan needs to occupy one PVL table entry, and the chip only provides 4096 (4096 each for IP side and VCG side) PVL table entries, which can only limit the configuration of the services under the condition of limited resources. Considering that some PVL table entries may be occupied when adding functions in the future, it is necessary to leave a margin, so it is necessary to limit the number of single-board PVL table entries used by various services to 4000 (both IP side and VCG side need to be limited).
