This task describes how to replace the Huawei Optical Network Transmission Device SSN1AUX SSR1EOW single board.
Prerequisites
- The user has the privilege of "Operator Group" and above.
- The type and location of the replaced board has been identified.
Impact on the system
- Replacing the AUX/AMU veneer of a gateway network element can cause the network element to go offline, in which case you need to log in to the network element from the standby gateway.
- Replacing the AUX/AMU veneer can cause service interruption if the network element is undergoing protection inversion during the replacement process.
- Replacing an EOW veneer can cause an official service interruption.
Procedure
- Select the spare part. Select a veneer whose parameters are exactly the same as the veneer being replaced.
- Query the current alarms of the veneer.
- If there is a fiber cable connected to the replaced board, record the location of the fiber cable connection first, and then remove the fiber cable with a fiber puller.
- Remove and replace the board. Caution:
The interfaces on the SSN1AUX/SSR1EOW/AMU veneer boards are all RJ-45, but the access signals are different, so you must connect the interfaces and the corresponding signals correctly to prevent misplugging.
- Verify that the single board works normally. Query the single-board alarms to confirm that the original alarms have been lifted.
