Description of the problem
The OSN3500 EMS4 veneer pairs with the metro1000 V3 SS49EFS veneer for EPL service and finds that when the vctrunk port of the data veneer is set to the tag attribute, the test frames do not pass; when the vctrunk port of the data veneer is set to the access attribute, the test frames do pass; however, the actual service is normal.EMS4: 4.13 EFS: 2.21
Processing
1. For the Metro1000 SS49EFS single board version 2.21, the single board only supports the MAC bearer method of testing frames;
2. For EMS4 single wave version 4.13, the single board supports test frames by MAC bearer and GFP bearer;
3, for the EFS single-board, the test frames sent in MAC bearer mode are without VLAN data, that is, these packets are transmitted on the line without VLAN. At the same time, the single board receives the test frames without distinguishing whether they are with or without VLANs. That is, both sides of the vctrunk port set any tag attribute, the test frame is through, this has been verified in the laboratory;
4, for the EMS4 single board, that can receive MAC bearer test frames and can receive GFP bearer mode, but for the reception of MAC bearer test frames, will go to identify the test frame is not with VLAN;
5, when the EMS4 single board and EFS single board to open the business, EMS4 single board to send test frames, at the same time, will send two ways of test frames, but after arriving at the EFS single board, can only receive MAC test frames, and at the same time respond to the MAC test frames, the EFS single board to respond to test frames are not with VLAN, after arriving at the EMS4 single board, due to the EMS4 single board will go to the identification of the test frames If it is not with VLAN, it will discard the ports with TAG attribute and allow the ACCESS ports to enter. This leads to the problem.
Root Cause
When the Huawei OSN3500 EMS4 veneer sends test frames, it sends test frames in both ways at the same time, but when it reaches the EFS veneer, it can only receive MAC test frames, and at the same time responds to MAC test frames, and the test frames that the EFS veneer responds to are without VLANs, and when it reaches the EMS4 veneer, because the EMS4 veneer goes to identify whether the test frames are with VLANs or not, and if they are not with VLAN, the port with the TAG attribute is discarded.
Solution
Upgrade the EFS board on the metro1000V3 device to version 2.42, which supports test frames in MAC bearer mode and test frames in GFP bearer mode, so that the problem does not occur.
Suggestion and Summary
1, all products EFS board early version of the board only supports MAC bearer test frames of this problem, need to upgrade to the corresponding support for two bearer version; 2, EMS4 board and EFT board docking will not have this problem, because the EFT board only supports GFP bearer test frames.
