Description of the problem
At 10:43 on October 28, an engineer from Chengdu office called to report that at 09:44 on the same day, a customer's metro network had 24 2M service interruptions due to a 10G multiplexing segment ring #5908 network element (OSN7500 equipment) failed to protect the multiplexing segment after a period of time because of the successful inversion of the multiplexing segment due to the optical channel problem. After the customer forced the reversal of the multiplexing segment, the service was resumed at 09:55 on the same day.

root cause
The long path K byte sent from 5908 to 5904 was lost between 5910 and 5902, resulting in the 5904 not receiving the bridged inverted long path K byte, and therefore not cutting the page, resulting in a service interruption.There was a problem with the K byte passthrough of the 5910, or the 5902 receive line board did not receive the K byte. Because the subsequent K bytes were able to penetrate normally and the K bytes did not change frequently at that time, and the 5910 receive line board reported receiving the K byte, the fault was centered on the 5910 transmit line board and the 5902 receive line board.
Solution
Emergency recovery measures:
MSP forced reversal to a good channel.
Complete resolution measures:
Replace the 5910 transmitter board and the 5902 receiver board after MSP inversion test.
