Description of the problem

A bureau of a set of Metro100 equipment EFT single board and friendly data board docking, service configuration is completed, the two sides of the equipment business road power is normal, but the EFT single board reported VCAT_SQM_VC12 and ALM_GFP_dLFD alarms, the Metro100 equipment host version for the 5.42.05.16.

Processing

1. Refer to Appendix 1: FAQ-Huawei Transmission Data Board and Friendship Data Board Docking Guidance Summary to check whether the settings of encapsulation protocol, J2 and V5 overhead bytes, and FCS are correct, and check that these settings are correct;

2. The host version of this Metro100 device is 5.42.05.16, and the LCAS function of its EFT single board can be modified directly through the network management.

Modify the LCAS mode of the EFT board to the standard mode and enable the LCAS function, and the VCAT_SQM_VC12 and ALM_GFP_dLFD alarms reported by the EFT board are eliminated.

Root Cause

The LCAS function is not enabled, and the default is that the LCAS function is disabled and the LCAS mode is Huawei mode; the LCAS function must be enabled and the LCAS mode must be changed to standard mode.

Solution

1. Refer to Attachment 1: FAQ-Huawei Transmission Data Board and Friendship Data Board Docking Guidance Summary, and check whether the settings for encapsulation protocol, J2 and V5 overhead bytes, and FCS are correct;

2. Query the hardware and software versions of the EFT board on the Metro100 device to see if there is an interface MSTP board configured with LCAS attributes on the network management; if there is not, you must upgrade the Metro100 master version and the EFT board software or hardware; if there is, you can modify the LCAS function of the EFT board directly through the network management.

3. Modify the LCAS mode of the EFT board to the standard mode and enable the LCAS function, and the VCAT_SQM_VC12 and ALM_GFP_dLFD alarms reported by the EFT board will be eliminated.

Recommendation and Summary

1, for Metro100 equipment host version is older, you need to dock with the friend data board to open the service, EFT board hardware and software version in the T2000 no configuration LCAS attributes of the interface MSTP board, this time you can only through the equipment of the EFT board software or hardware upgrades to solve this problem;
