Solution

The host software must be the version that supports intelligent features, the main sub-frame is a dual master configuration, and the supporting shipped network management must be the version that supports intelligent features.

ASON features are controlled by the License on the network management, and you are allowed to turn on the smart features only if you apply for and purchase the License for the ASON feature management function or get a special license from Huawei.

Configuring Intelligent Network Elements Steps:

Check the consistency of the logical veneer with the physical veneer.

Inconsistency between the logical and physical veneer types will cause the veneer to not work properly and affect the service. Therefore, you should check the consistency between the logical and physical veneers before tuning the service.

1, set the DCC working mode

Before starting the intelligent software, you need to query the DCC working mode of the network element and reset the DCC working mode.

2、Modify the node ID

The node ID is independent of the network element ID and network element IP. In an ASON network, each intelligent network element is configured with a unique network-wide node ID to identify the network element. It is required to determine the configuration of the node ID when planning the network.

3. Enabling Intelligent Features

The network element has smart features only after enabling smart features. When the device is shipped from the factory, the smart feature is disabled by default.

4.Uploading Network Element Configuration Data

Network element data already exists on the network management during device tuning and testing. After enabling the intelligent features, the intelligent network element can no longer perform the initialization operation on the network element or the data download operation on the network element. You need to perform data upload operations after enabling and disabling smart features to ensure that the data on the network management side and the network element side are consistent.

5. Creating Intelligent Domain

The network manager manages the intelligent network in the form of intelligent domains, which are usually created automatically. Network elements that are not synchronized to the intelligent domain for some reasons during the upload process of the network elements can be divided into a domain by creating a domain to divide the intelligent network elements belonging to the same ASON network.

6. Synchronizing Smart Network Elements

Network synchronization is performed through the main network element to automatically discover other intelligent network elements in the network.

7、Setting up the main and backup network elements

In the ASON network, each intelligent network element has access to the topology information of the whole network. The main network element is used as the network element that communicates with the network manager, and is responsible for obtaining intelligent control plane information and reporting intelligent events to the network manager. To improve the reliability, a backup network element can be set up as a backup for the main network element. In case of failure of the primary network element, the backup network element replaces the primary network element and maintains the communication between the ASON and the network management. Usually, the gateway network element is selected as the primary or backup network element to avoid wasting ECC bandwidth.

8. Synchronizing network-wide control links

Synchronize the control links so that the control link data in the network management is consistent with the control link data on the network element side of the ASON network.

9、Synchronize TE link

Get the link resources of the whole network by querying the main network element, so that the link data in the network management is consistent with the ASON network.

10、Automatic creation of fiber

Automatically create the fiber between intelligent network elements through network management.
