OSN1500 manual ECC routing results in failure to create SDH transport device network elements

OSN1500 ECC Routing is Huawei's private protocol stack, and is one of the most widely used and mature ECC communication solutions for Huawei's transmission equipment.HWECC uses NE IDs to identify network elements, automatically establishes routes, and is simple to use. Flexible networking methods can be realized, and ECC communication between elements can be carried out through optical ports. In some special occasions, OAM information of third-party devices can also be transmitted. Extended ECC is to load the ECC stack on the TCP/IP stack, i.e., use the extended channel (e.g., Ethernet) instead of the DCC channel to walk the HWECC stack, in order to adapt to the needs of special scenarios. The main difference between Extended ECC and ECC is that the ECC physical layer walks the DCC channel, while the Extended ECC physical layer walks the extended channel. Subnet A and subnet B are two different networks without fiber optic between them, linking the two networks through HUB to achieve the purpose of managing the network elements of subnet B through the GNE of subnet A.

Problem Description

The maintenance personnel of SDH transmission equipment creates an OSN1500 device that has been deleted before on the network management, enters the parameters, and then clicks on the network topology, prompting that the background is busy and the device cannot be created.

Processing

1. Check that the optical paths of neighboring stations are normal, with no abnormal alarms and no error codes.

2. Checking the parameter settings of the network element is correct, and there is no problem with the gateway network element selection, and re-create the fault manually.

3. Check the ECC link management of the upstream station of the site, the network element can be seen and the distance is 0. Check the ECC link of the gateway network element can also see the network element.

4. Use the search method to create a network element on the network management, and find that the network element can be searched, but when clicking Create, it still prompts that the background is busy.

5. Use the navigator command line tool to log in to the network element, can not be logged in normally, indicating that the network element ECC routing is indeed anomalous, to rule out the possibility of network management software failure.

7. After deleting the artificial route of B network element, the fault is restored and the network element can be created normally.

Cause

The ECC route from the gateway to the failed network element is unreachable due to the existence of artificial ECC to reach the failed network element in the intermediate network element, and thus the network element cannot be created.

Solution

After deleting the manual ECC route, create the network element normally.

The principle of realizing extended ECC in the automatic way is as follows:

Each network element obtains the IP address of other network elements in the same Ethernet according to the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) protocol.

The network element with the largest IP address automatically acts as a server and listens for TCP requests from the client.

The other network elements automatically act as clients and send TCP connection requests to the server.

The server receives the client's TCP connection request and establishes the corresponding TCP connection.

The network element uses the TCP connection to act as a MAC connection to realize ECC communication.

The implementation principle of the specified method of extending ECC is basically the same as that of the automatic method, except that the server, client, and connection port number are manually specified.
