Operating Procedure
- Difference between the laser auto shutdown feature of SSN2BPA and SSN1BPA:
- N1BPA consists of two EDFA optical modules, N2BPA consists of one EDFA optical module, in the case that the laser automatic shutdown function is not turned off (the default is on), as long as there is no optical signal input to any of the ports IN1 (i.e., BA's IN port) and IN2 (i.e., PA's IN port), it will lead to laser shutdown, and at this time, even if there is light input to one of the optical ports IN1 and IN2, its corresponding OUT1 or OUT2 will not amplify the incoming light, but will produce light amplification instead. Input, its corresponding OUT1 or OUT2 not only will not amplify the input light, but will produce an attenuation of 10 or so dbm (eg: IN2 port -60dbm, OUT port -60dbm, when IN1 is 0.9dbm, OUT1 is -17.8dbm).
- The BA and PA modules of the N1BPA are independent and do not affect each other.
- N2BPA and N1BPA are in conditional substitution relationship, N2BPA needs to turn off ALS function when used in place of N1BPA.
- The working principle of N2BPA and N1BPA is shown in the following figure, the upper figure is N2BPA and the lower figure is N1BPA:
