Introduction to Single Board Functions
The first part of the parameters of the R1PD1 single board of the SN1500B device is introduced by me, there are two functional versions of the PD1, R1 and R2, the main difference between the two versions is that the functions of the single boards of the different versions are different.The R1PD1 single board has been discontinued. The single board belongs to the PDH processing board, can be used in OptiX OSN series equipment to realize the PDH signal up/down processing, PD1 single board must be used in conjunction with the interface board, to complete the 32-channel E1 signal access and processing. The single board supports E1 signal processing, overhead processing, alarm and performance events, maintenance features, and TPS protection. The single board consists of an interface module, an encoding/decoding module, a mapping/demapping module, a logic control module, and a power supply module. In OptiX OSN 1500A devices, PD1 single board needs to be used with L75S or L12S single board; in OptiX OSN 1500B devices, PD1 single board needs to be used with D75S or D12S/D12B single board.PD1 single board belongs to the PDH processor board, which can be used to realize the up/down processing of PDH signals in OptiX OSN series devices. /PD1 single board must be used together with the interface board to complete the access and processing of 32-channel E1 signals. PD1 is used together with the electrical interface inversion bridge board to support TPS protection. The protection relationship between the versions is as follows: the working board is R1PD1, and the protection slot can be inserted into R1PD1/R2PD1. the working board is R2PD1, and the protection slot can be inserted into R2PD1. Maintenance features:Supports the inner loopback and outer loopback functions of the electrical interface. Support soft reset and hard reset, soft reset does not affect the service. Support the query function of single board manufacturing information. Support FPGA online loading function. Support smooth upgrade of single board software. Problem Description
An engineer in a bureau opening found that the interface board D12S of the R1PD1 single board of an OSN 1500B device is in and out of position on the network management. The interface board cannot be queried by using :cfg-get-phybd to query the physical board, but it can be queried by using :cfg-get-board.
The board configuration is as follows: a R1PD1 board is configured in slot 7, and the interface board D12S is inserted in slot 15; a SSN1EFT8 board is also configured in slot 12, and the interface board SSN1ETF8 is configured.

Alarm messages
The interface board displays out of position, no alarms and no abnormal events.
Processing
1. Firstly, a good interface board is pulled from other network elements, and the problem still exists after replacement.
2、Confirmed that there is no problem with this board configuration, and the engineer also feedback that another OSN 1500B device did not change the problem, the version is: 5.36.17.44P01
3, confirmed that the software problem, the interface board up and down the line is the host software regularly to the processing board to query the status of its interface board, but the software processing problems. Data board EFT8 in the receipt of the host query interface board status, the number of reported more than one, more of this is an empty board type, so the host processing will be 15 slots offline, and the host query the interface board status of the 7th board, and will be 15 slots on the line, so that the cycle of processing led to the 15 slots can not be on line.
FaultCause
The problem can be reproduced after configuring according to the current network version. The interruption point after the lab reproduction was found to be due to the fact that the data veneer board returned to the host with an extra null type for the board type.
Suggestions and Summary
1, this problem will not affect the business, and there is no alarm and abnormal events reported, but only when you open the slot installation diagram, you will see the interface board is bright and gray.
2, R & D plans to release the latest version of R8 in November to solve this problem.
3、If the problem occurs in the current network, you can use the method of adjusting the slot configuration of the current network to circumvent the problem. Or the network element downgrade to 5.36.17.44P01 version or R3 version to use.
