Some of the N1SLQ4 ports are unavailable due to cross-board and bus distribution limitations, and the problem is solved by replacing them to the appropriate slots.

Crossover Unit
Description
The OptiX OSN 3500 device crossover board is configured as N1SXCSA. after inserting the N1SLQ4 single board into slot 4 and slot 15 of the device, only the first two optical ports of the N1SLQ4 single board are available, and the last two optical ports cannot be displayed.
Cause Analysis
You need to consider the access capacity of the slot, the cross-board bus structure limitations, and the single-board bus rate limitations when planning the single-board slots.
- The OptiX OSN 3500 cross board is configured as N1SXCSA, the access capacity of slot 5 and 14 is 5G, and the total rate of N1SLQ4 ports is 2.5G, so the problem of slot access capacity can be ruled out.
- The single-board installation slot is not only limited by the access capacity, but also by the cross-board and single-board bus distribution, N1SXCSA cross-board can adapt to 622M and 2.5G bus structure.
- N1SLQ4 single board bus rate of 622M, need four 622M bus to fully support four optical ports, while the 4-slot and 15-slot only support two buses, so can only display the front two optical ports.
Operation Steps
- Since slots 5, 6, 13, and 14 are 4 buses, replace the N1SLQ4 board to slot 5 and slot 14, and then the optical port display is normal.
Reference Information
- The OptiX OSN 1500 supports only the 622M bus structure.
- The OptiX OSN 2500 supports only the 622M bus structure.
- The OptiX OSN 3500 supports only 622M bus structure when configured with GXCSA, EXCSA, UXCSA/UXCSB; when configured with SXCSA/SXCSB, IXCSA/IXCSB, and FXCSA, it can be self-adapted to 622M and 2.5G bus structure.
- The OptiX OSN 7500's crossover board can adapt to 622M and 2.5G bus structure.
