Waves of the same frequency propagate at different speeds in different media, so the wavelengths are also different.OptiX OSN devices support wavelength-tunable optical modules and fixed-wavelength optical modules. Different optical modules support different configuration parameters, but the configuration process is the same. Users can set or query the wavelength of the optical port of the single board according to the network management.

The user has the privilege of "network element and its network monitor" or above. Confirm that the board supports the wavelength adjustable function and the range of adjustable wavelength.

Background information
The wavelength-adjustable optical wavelength conversion unit can be used as a spare part of the fixed-wavelength optical wavelength conversion unit. Users can set the transmission wavelength of the optical module through the network management in accordance with the network wavelength planning, and query whether the wavelength setting parameters and the planning values are consistent.
Operation Procedure
Double click "Main Topology" icon in "Workbench" view to enter the main topology diagram.
Right-click on the network element icon of the main topology and select "Network Element Manager".
Select the board in the Element Manager and choose Configuration > WDM Interface in the Function Tree.
Select "By Single Board/Port (Channel)" and select "Channel" in the drop-down menu.
Description:
When you select "By Function", you can query and set the parameters of single board and channel from the function point of view.
In the "Advanced Properties" tab, double-click the parameter field to modify and set the values of each attribute for each optical port or single board. For example, "Wavelength No./Port Wavelength(nm)/Frequency(THz)".
For optical modules with adjustable wavelength, you can query and set the wavelength of the current single-board optical port through the parameter "Wavelength No./Port Wavelength(nm)/Frequency(THz)".
For fixed wavelength optical modules, you can query the current single-board port wavelength through the "Wavelength No./Port Wavelength(nm)/Frequency(THz)" parameter.
