OSN3500 device network element configuration data refers to the information in the dynamic database of the network element, including the veneer configuration, clock configuration, and protection relationship of the network element. It is the command file of the network element and is the key for the network element to be able to operate normally in the whole network. Backup of the network element configuration data is required for routine maintenance to ensure that the network element automatically recovers operation after the main control board loses data or the device is powered down. Backing up the network element configuration data to the main control board means backing up the network element configuration data to the FLASH of the main control board. When the network element is restarted after power down, the main control board automatically reads the configuration from the FLASH and sends it down to the single board. When the network element configuration data in DRDB database is lost due to the need of network element maintenance or the failure of network element, the network element configuration data file can be restored from the Flash database that has been backed up to the main control board to the DRDB database.

Prerequisite

The user has the privilege of "Maintainer Group" and above.

The user logs in to the network element as a "maintenance level" network element user.

The DRDB database in the main control board has been backed up to the Flash library.

Impact on the system

Restoring the network element configuration data from the Flash database to the DRDB database may cause communication disruptions between the network administrator and the master control board, and between the master control board and other boards.
