OSN1500 EFS4 single boards are available in three functional versions: N1, N2, and N3. The main difference between the three versions is that the maximum uplink bandwidth is different. the N1EFS4 and N2EFS4 single boards have been discontinued. The N1EFS4 and N2EFS4 are discontinued. The single board is an Ethernet switching processing board, which is mainly used to solve the telecommunication application areas such as Ethernet service access, bandwidth management, and Layer 2 switching of Ethernet services. The single board supports Layer 2 switching, MPLS, multicast, and other functions and features. The single board consists of an Ethernet access module, a network processing module, a mapping module, an interface conversion module, a logic control module, a clock module, and a power module.

Problem Description
The customer's current network exists A manufacturer and our NGSDH transmission network equipment, the customer has been using our OSN3500 SSN3EFS4 data veneer and A manufacturer 1642 docking EPL data services for many years, but the company has recently shipped the function is not normal, as long as the LCAS function is enabled the business does not go through; but turn off the LCAS function, the business will go through.
Alarm information
After enabling LCAS, the network management will report LCAS_BAND_DECREASED and ALM_GFP_dLFD alarms, and the service will not be able to go through; after turning off LCAS, the service will be normal and there will be no alarms.
Processing
In the customer's laboratory, we set up an experimental environment, and the customer provides online running friendly equipment A-LU 1642 and our OSN1500 for interconnection and interoperability testing. Prepare three different versions of SSN1EFS4 data single boards.

After cross-referencing, the test results are as follows:
1.1st FPGA:208 in B032 host (5.36.13.47P01) matching test, industry LCAS: OK
2. The second FPGA:210 FPGA in B032 host (5.36.13.47P01), data single board BIOS:2.14/2.31 SW:4.13 LOGIC 230/210, industry LCAS: OK.
3. 2nd FPGA:210 FPGA in B032 host (5.36.13.47P01), data veneer downgraded to match host, Yip LCAS OK
4. 3rd FPGA:211 FPGA in B032 mainframe (5.36.13.47P01) matching test, Yip LCAS: Fail
5. 3rd FPGA:211 tested with B059 host (5.36.13.61), Yip LCAS: OK
Detailed test records are attached.
The test result shows that FPGA:211 is an ASIC version and cannot be downgraded to FPGA:208 or 210, so it only provides LCAS V2.0 function.
Root Cause
The customer's current network version requirements are unified, the current running version are V1R3C02 B032SP01 (5.36.13.47P01), after comparing the LCAS version for LCAS V1.0 version, also run for many years with normal function. Confirmed that our LCAS has two versions one is LCAS V1.0 and the other is LCAS V2.0.
Although the company no longer maintains the LCAS V1.0 version, the customer has been using LCAS V1.0 for many years without any problem, so it is necessary to find out the real reason why.
Suggestion and Summary
According to the company's suggestion, LCAS V1.0 has defects, and LCAS V2.0 can not be interfaced with LCAS V1.0 for a long time, and can only exist for a short period of time during the upgrade process. If you want to interface with friendly equipment, please use LCAS V2.0 version uniformly.
