Phenomenon Description
The 61st to 64th VC-4s of the 6-SL64 board of a customer's network OSN device are configured with a VC4-4c cascade, and need to perform a loopback test for the cascade service. The tester performs an inner loopback on the 61st VC-4 and returns a failure.
Cause Analysis
Analyzing the overhead bytes of the cascade service, it can be seen that, except for the 61st VC-4 whose "C2 Receivable" byte is "HDLC/PPP Mapping", the 62nd to 64th VC-4 whose "C2 Receivable The "C2 Receivable" byte of the 62nd to 64th VC-4 is "Unloaded". Therefore, when performing loopback test for cascaded services, it is necessary to loopback all VC4 channels of the cascade at the same time.
Operation Procedure
- On the main topology diagram of network management, select the network element that needs to be looped back, right-click, and select "Network Element Manager".
- Select the optical interface board that needs to be looped back, and then select "Configuration > SDH Interface" in the Function Tree.
- Select "By Function", and then select "VC4 Loopback" in the drop-down menu.
- Set all VC4 channels of the cascade service to be tested as VC4 inner loopback. Click Apply.
