OSN 3500 can only support a maximum of 24 E3/T3 signals on the expansion subrack due to the access capacity of 1.25Gbit/s supported by the cross-board XCE. Each OptiX OSN 3500 can take at most 1 expansion subrack, and the expansion subrack still adopts the OptiX OSN 3500 subrack, and the configuration requirements of the expansion subrack are shown in Table 1.
| Single Board | Master Subrack | Expansion Subrack |
|---|---|---|
| Cross Clock Board | N1UXCSB, N1SXCSB or N1IXCSB must be configured, 1+1 hot backup is recommended. | N1XCE must be configured, 1+1 hot backup is recommended. |
| Master Control Board | N1GSCC, N3GSCC, N4GSCC, N6GSCC must be configured, 1+1 hot backup is recommended. | No need to configure master control board |
| Tributary boards | Configure as needed | Only N1PQ1, N2PQ1, N1PQM, N1PL3, N2PL3, N1PD3, N2PD3, N1PL3A, N2PL3A are supported. |
| Business Processing Board | Configuration selection as required | Only N1D75S, N1D12S, N1D12B, N1C34S, N1D34S, N1TSB8, N1LWX, N1BA2, N1BPA, N1DCU, N2DCU, N1MR2A, N1MR2C, TN11MR2, TN11MR4, TN11CMR2, TN11CMR4, N1FIB are supported. |
| Power supply board | Must be configured, 1+1 hot backup is recommended. | Must be configured, 1+1 hot backup recommended |
| N1AUX board | Must be configured | Must be configured |
| Fan unit | Must be configured | Must be configured |
The N1UXCSB board of the master subrack and the N1XCE board of the expansion subrack are connected to each other by two expansion subrack cables, realizing 1 + 1 protection. The EXT interface on the N1AUX board of the master subrack is connected to the EXT on the N1AUX board of the expansion subrack to transfer management information. It is also necessary to unplug the J9 jumper cap on the N1AUX board of the expansion subrack. The connections between the main and expansion subracks are shown in Figure 1. If the N1SXCSB or N1IXCSB is used, each cable is connected in exactly the same way, and only the N1UXCSB in the figure needs to be replaced with the N1SXCSB or N1IXCSB.
The network element expansion subrack cross board is a UXCSB, and after replacing it with an XCE board, service returns to normal.

- WRG_BD_TYPE
Description
Query the board physical information on the T2000 network manager. the BA2 board position is shown as PQ1 board, and the EGT2 board position is shown as PQ1 board. slot 17 and slot 5 boards are out of position.
TU_AIS, T_ALOS, BD_STATUS, and WRG_BD_TYPE alarms are reported on the expansion subrack, but the service is normal.
One week later, the business was affected due to database corruption.
Cause Analysis
Probable Cause:
- GSCC board failure
- Failure of the backup board in slot 1 where BA2 is located
- Device configuration conflict
- Failure of the PQ1 board or AUX board in the expansion subrack.
Procedure
- Confirm the physical slot of the board in the base station subrack.
- Confirm the placement of the veneer in the subrack and the expansion subrack.
- Confirm that the expansion subrack is normally powered on.
- The expansion subrack's crossover board must be XCE.
- Replace the existing cross board UXCSB of the expansion subrack with the XCE board.
- Query the alarm of the extension subrack, the original alarm is canceled, and there is no new abnormal alarm. The service is back to normal.
Reference Information
The expansion subrack does not need to be configured with a GSCC board.
