Phenomenon Description

The SSN1EGS2 board of OptiX OSN 3500 equipment is configured with services, and one single board can work normally, while the other single board cannot work normally. Check the transmit optical power and find that the transmit optical power of the single board that can work normally is -9dBm, and the luminous power of the single board that cannot work normally is -28dBm.

Cause analysis

SSN1EGS2 single board can work, while the other can not work. It may be a single board optical port type and fiber type with the problem.

Steps

  1. Check the model of the single board and find that the model of the single board that can configure services is SSN1EGS211, and the model of the single board that cannot configure services is SSN1EGS210, and the models of the two single boards do not match.
  2. Check the optical interface indicators, SSN1EGS210 luminous for -9.5dBm, sensitivity -17dBm, overload point is not required, the operating wavelength of 850nm, for the multi-mode optical port. SSN1EGS211 luminous for -9dBm, sensitivity -20dBm, overload point is not required, the operating wavelength of 1310nm, for the single-mode optical port.
  3. Check the pigtail, found that the use of single-mode pigtail, the SSN1EGS210 pigtail replacement for multimode pigtail, send optical power is normal, the business send and receive normal.
