Phenomenon Description
After creating 15 VC-12 services on an STM-1 frame in the order of number 1 to 15, when creating a VC-3 service on the second VC-3 of this STM-1 frame, an alarm is generated indicating a time slot conflict.
Cause Analysis
A time slot conflict error occurs when creating VC-3 services on the second VC-3 because the 15 VC-12 services created first already occupy the second VC-3 due to the selection of the VC12 time slot numbering policy in the sequential mode (ITU-T).
Procedure
- Right-click the network element in T2000 and select "Service Configuration".
- According to the needs of service configuration and customer planning, click "Options" and select "Sequential (ITU-T)" or "Interleave" to determine the policy for VC12 time slot numbering.
- Based on the selected VC12 time slot numbering policy, create the corresponding service.
Reference Information
- Sequential way (ITU-T): VC-12s numbered 1, 4, 7, 10...... and so on belong to the 1st VC-3, VC-12s numbered 2, 5, 8, 11...... and so on belong to the 2nd VC-3, and so on.
- Interpolation: VC-12s numbered 1 through 21 belong to the 1st VC-3, VC-12 time slots numbered 22 through 43 belong to the 2nd VC-3, and so on.
