Fault phenomenon
The service is not available when docking with SDH equipment, and the network management may report R_LOS, R_LOF, and R_OOF alarms.
If the network management reports B1_EXC, B1_SD, B2_EXC, B2_SD alarms, it means that the docking equipment or the equipment in this station has error codes. For troubleshooting error codes, see Single Wave Channel Errors.

Possible causes
- Cause 1: Line failure between WDM equipment and SDH equipment.
- Cause 2: The WDM product is incorrectly configured with parameters on the customer side of the docking single-board interface.
- Cause 3: Docking single board failure.

Procedure
- Cause 1: Line failure between WDM equipment and SDH equipment. The customer side of the docking veneer of the WDM equipment may report R_LOS and R_LOF alarms.
- Detect whether the type of the docking single-board optical module is the same and whether the distance to the customer side matches. Single-mode and multimode optical modules cannot be mixed.
- Check whether the single-board fibers at both ends match. Single-mode and multimode fibers cannot be mixed.
Description:Multimode fibers are generally orange; single-mode fibers are generally yellow.
- Follow the fiber label to check if the fiber is plugged in incorrectly. If the fiber is incorrectly connected, it is possible that the device will not generate an R_LOS alarm, but will generate a large number of abnormal performance events, which will require the fiber to be reconnected correctly.
- Use an optical power meter to check the device's docking pigtail; if abnormal, replace the pigtail. If the pigtail is normal, check the fiber optic cable for faults.
- Cause 2: The parameters on the customer side of the WDM product's docking single-board interface are incorrectly configured. The customer side of the WDM equipment's docking single-board interface may report an R_OOF alarm.
- The service types do not match.
- When the WDM equipment is docked to a single board, query and set the service type accessed by the customer side of the single board to ensure that it is consistent with the SDH service type equipment.
- The docking port has a loopback.
- Log in to the U2000 network manager, open the "Network Element Manager" interface, select the docking network element, and select the docking single board.
- Select "Configuration > WDM Interface" in the "Function Tree" on the left.
- Select "Basic Properties", click "Query", and check whether there is loopback on the customer side of the single board. If there is, double-click the "Loopback" parameter field, select "No Loopback" in the drop-down bar, and click "Apply".
- The service types do not match.
- Cause 3: Docking board failure.
- WDM equipment docking single board customer side optical port, use optical power meter to test the optical power; if abnormal, replace the single board.
- SDH equipment docking single board optical port, use optical power meter to test the optical power; if abnormal, replace the single board.
