Query Ethernet port traffic and bandwidth utilization
In the daily maintenance of OptiX OSN devices, you need to monitor the port traffic and bandwidth utilization of the Ethernet veneer of the network element to determine whether there is a network storm or a root cause of sending a large amount of data on the network.
Prerequisites
- The user has the privilege of "Guest Group" or above.
- The network element is configured with an Ethernet board.
Procedures
- Double-click the Main Topology icon in the Workbench view to enter the main topology diagram.
- Select a network element on the main topology map, right-click it, and select "Network Element Manager".
- Select the Ethernet board in the left pane of the Element Manager, and then select Performance > Ethernet Port Traffic Monitoring in the Function Tree.
- In the "Set Monitor" tab of the right window, select one or more "Monitor Objects" and right-click.
- In the drop-down menu, select Enable Traffic Monitoring Status and Bandwidth Utilization Monitoring Status.
- Click Query.
- In the "Traffic Query" tab, set the "Monitor Target", "Start Time", "End Time", and "Display Mode". "Display Mode".
- Click Query.
