Maintenance intervals
Maintenance intervals can be adjusted according to the specific cleaning conditions of the machine room.
- In environments that meet the requirements of ETSI EN 300 019-2-3 Class 3.1, the cleaning cycle for the dust screens is 3 months.
- In an environment that meets the requirements of ETSI EN 300 019-2-3 Class 3.2, the cleaning cycle for the dust screen is 1 month.
Caution
- When cleaning the dust screen, please do not pull out the fan to avoid affecting the heat dissipation of the device.

Pay attention to the smoothness of the air ducts do not block the air inlet (lower part of the cabinet) and air outlet (upper part of the subrack and the top of the cabinet, pay attention to it when laying cables) of the cabinet, and do not place sundries on the top of the subrack to ensure ventilation.
Operation Steps
- Pull out the dust screen of the subframe.
- Clean the dust screen:
For silk woven dust screens:
- OptiX OSN 1500: Wash the dust screen and blow dry it in a ventilated area, or simply replace the sponge with a new one.

For other products: Remove the sponge attached to the dust screen, rinse it with water and blow dry it in a ventilated area, or simply replace it with a new sponge.
Attention:Do not use too much force during the cleaning process, so as not to tear the sponge and scratch the mesh fibers of the dust screen.
For steel wire dust screen:
- Rinse directly with water.
- After cleanup is complete:
Against silk woven dust screens:
- OptiX OSN 1500: Gently insert the dust screen back into its original position along the slide-in guide on the right side of the subrack.
- For other products: After the sponge has dried, reattach it to the mesh. Then gently insert the mesh back into place along the guide slots underneath the subrack.
For steel wire dust screens:
- Install the rinsed wire dust screen directly after drying it.
