    The Huawei SSN1EMS4 single board supports Layer 2 switching, link aggregation, multicast, and other functions and features.

    The specific functions and features of the SSN1EMS4 single board are shown in Table 1.

    Functions and Features Description
    Basic Functions Process 4-channel GE services and 16-channel FE services.
    Interface Type
    • Support 1000BASE-SX/LX/ZX/VX Ethernet optical interface, support self-negotiation function, meet IEEE 802.3z standard. Adopting pluggable SFP optical interface, the transmission distance of multi-mode fiber can reach up to 550m, and single-mode fiber up to 10km (40km and 80km optical modules can also be selected according to actual needs).
    • Support 1000BASE-T Ethernet electrical interface, the electrical interface supports self-negotiation function, can be self-negotiated to 1000M rate. Adopting pluggable SFP electrical interface, the transmission distance can be up to 100m.
    • Support 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX with ETF8; support 100Base-FX with EFF8, meet IEEE 802.3u standard.
    Match with Outlet Board
    • Work with ETF8 to realize 16-channel FE telecom signal access.
    • Work with EFF8 to realize 16-channel FE optical signal access.
    • 8-channel FE electrical signal and 8-channel FE optical signal access with ETF8 and EFF8.

    • When EMS4 is used with ETF8, it supports self-negotiation, 100M full-duplex, 100M half-duplex, 10M full-duplex, 10M half-duplex.
    • EMS4 supports 100M full duplex when used with EFF8.
