  • The Huawei FA16 CB02VFB board is a 16-channel general audio interface board that provides 2-wire/4-wire audio voice path and connection to audio leased line MODEMs and other functions. Each board has 16 2-wire audio interfaces or 8 4-wire audio interfaces, and the board is compatible with common user board slots.

    The basic principle of the VFB single board is described as follows:

    • The codec completes A/D conversion, partial impedance matching, receive-transmit gain adjustment, and terminal balanced return loss adjustment.
    • The user circuit mainly completes the two/four-wire conversion and impedance matching functions.
    • The CPU controls the codec and communicates with other boards through the serial port.

    External Interface

    VFB interfaces are distributed on the backplane of the single board or the corresponding adapter board, and the interface descriptions are shown in Table 2.

    FA16 VFB DIP Switch Settings

    The VFB provides eight dip switches, S011, S031, S051, S071, S091, S111, S131, and S151, as shown in Figure 3.

    DIP switches S011 to S151 are used to set the impedance of the 16 2-wire audio interfaces, and the setting instructions are shown in Table 3.
