    OSN3500 SSN3PSXCSA Functions and Features

    The PSXCS(A) single board supports service scheduling, clock input and output, and other functions and features.

    Cross Connect Unit

    The cross-connect unit functions and features of the PSXCS(A) single board are shown in Table 1.

    Service processing
    • Provides flexible scheduling capability for services, supports non-blocking full-cross, multicast and broadcast services.
    • Provides communication functions with other single boards.
    • Supports microswitch to realize smooth protection inversion of cross boards.
    • Supports SNCP protection at VC-4-4c, VC-4-8c, VC-4-16c, VC-4-64c, VC-4, VC-12, VC-3 and AU-3 levels.
    • Supports VC-4, VC-12, VC-3 and AU-3 services.
    • Supports VC-4-4c, VC-4-8c, VC-4-16c and VC-4-64c cascade services.
    • Supports up to 40 linear multiplexing segment protection groups.
    • Supports up to 12 ring multiplexing segment protection groups.
    • The N1PSXCS supports up to 8064 SNCP protection pairs.
    • The N2PSXCSA/N3PSXCSA supports up to 8904 SNCP protection pairs.
    • A maximum of 592 SNCMP protection pairs are supported.
    • Supports up to 512 SNCTP protection pairs.
    Protection Mode Supports single-board 1+1 hot backup, and the protection mode is non-restore by default.
    Others Support cross-clock board and device working temperature query and report function.

    Clock Unit

    The clock unit functions and features of the PSXCS(A) single board are shown in Table 2.

    Basic Functions Provides a standard system synchronization clock.
    Other Functions
    • Supports processing of S1 byte for clock protection inversion.
    • Supports the extraction, insertion and processing functions of SSM information and clock ID.
    • Supports IEEE 1588v2 synchronization.
    • N2PSXCSA and N3PSXCSA support the frequency deviation detection function.
    Inputs and outputs
    Via AUX single board:
    • Supports input/output of 2 timing signals with an impedance of 75Ω at a frequency of 2MHz or 2048kbit/s, and provides the function of selecting an external timing source.
    • Support input/output 2-way impedance of 120Ω frequency of 2MHz or 2048kbit/s timing signal, and provide the function of selecting external timing source.

    OSN3500 SSN1IXCSA Single Board Indicators

    The indicators on the single board panel are available:

    • Single-board hardware status light (STAT)-red and green indicator lights
    • Single-board primary and backup status lights (ACT)-green light
    • Single-board software status light (PROG) - red and green dual-color light
    • Service warning lamp (SRV) - red, green and yellow indicators
    • Synchronized Clock Status Light (SYNC) - red, green, and bi-color light
