    The Optix OSN1500 SSQ5CXLQ4 single board supports SDH signal processing, communication control, service scheduling, clock input and output, and other functions and features.

    SDH Processing Unit

    The functions and features of the SDH processing unit of the CXLQ41 single board are shown in Table 1.

    Optix OSN1500 SSQ5CXLQ4 description

    Basic Functions Receives and transmits four STM-1/STM-4 optical signals.
    Optical interface specifications
    Optional STM-1/STM-4 optical module is available.
    • When the STM-1 optical module is selected, the standard optical interfaces of I-1, S-1.1, L-1.1, L-1.2, and Ve-1.2 are supported, of which the characteristics of the I-1, S-1.1, L-1.1, and L-1.2 optical interfaces conform to the ITU-T G.957 recommendations, and the Ve-1.2 optical interface is a Huawei customized standard.
    • When the STM-4 optical module is selected, it supports I-4, S-4.1, L-4.1, L-4.2, and Ve-4.2 standard optical interfaces, of which the characteristics of I-4, S-4.1, L-4.1, and L-4.2 optical interfaces comply with ITU-T G.957 recommendations, and the optical interface of Ve-4.2 is a Huawei customized standard.
    Optical Module Specifications
    • Supports optical module information detection and query.
    • Support laser on and off setting and laser auto shutdown function.
    • Support pluggable optical module, which is convenient for maintenance and upgrade of optical module.
    • Support mixing and matching of four optical ports with different rate optical modules.
    Service Processing
    • Support VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 service when STM-1 optical module is selected.
    • Support VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 service and VC-4-4c cascade service when STM-4 optical module is selected.
    Overhead processing
    • Supports segment overhead processing for STM-1/STM-4 signals.
    • Supports processing of channel overhead (transparent transmission and termination).
    • Supports setting and querying of J0/J1/C2 bytes.
    • Supports 1 to 4-way ECC communication.
    Alarm and Performance Provides rich alarm and performance events for easy device management and maintenance.
    Protection Mode The following protection methods are supported:

    • Quad-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection

    System Control and Communication Unit

    The System Control and Communication Unit functions and features of the SSQ5CXLQ41 single board are shown in Table 2.

    Basic Functions Realize the configuration and scheduling functions of equipment services, monitor service performance, and collect performance events and alarm information.
    Interface Specifications
    • Provides one 10M/100M compatible Ethernet network management interface, which is led out through the SAP board.
    • Provide RS232 interface OAM port for connecting with PC or workstation, and support RS232 DCE Modem for remote maintenance, which is led out through SEI board.
    • Provides 1 official telephone interface and 2 outgoing subnet telephone interfaces, leading out through the SEI board.
    • Provide 4-way broadcast data port Serial 1 to 4, leading out through SEI board.
    DCC Processing Capability Supports D1-D1, D1-D3, D4-D12 channel types, see Network Management Information Interoperability.
    Fan Alarm Management Provides fan alarm management function.
    PIU Management Provide the presence detection function of the PIU of the power access board and the failure detection function of the lightning protection module in the PIU.
    Protection Mode Supports 1+1 hot backup of cross, clock and master control unit.

    Cross Connect Unit

    • Plugged into the old backplane can accomplish 20Gbit/s VC-4 high-order crossover, 20Gbit/s VC-3/VC-12 low-price crossover, 18.75Gbit/s access capability.
    Fast Emergency Channel Provide two 4M HDLC fast emergency channels for realizing MSP, SNCP, TPS inversion and other functions.
    Service Processing
    • Realize flexible scheduling of services.
    • Adding or deleting this service does not affect other services.
    • Supports SNCP protection at VC-4, VC-3, and VC-12 levels.
    • Supports cascading service VC-4-4c when STM-4 optical module is selected.
    • Supports up to 12 linear multiplexing segment protection groups.
    • Supports up to 12 ring multiplexing segment protection groups.
    • Supports up to 1184 SNCP protection pairs.
    • Supports up to 592 SNCMP protection pairs.
    • Supports up to 512 SNCTP protection pairs.
    Protection Mode Supports 1+1 hot backup of crossover, clock and master units, and the protection mode is non-recoverable inversion by default.

    Clock unit

    The clock unit functions and characteristics of the CXLQ41 single board are shown in Table 4.
