OSN3500 SSN4GSCC System Control and Communication Boards
  • SSN4GSCC single board is the intelligent system control board, cooperating with the network management system to manage the single boards of the equipment, realizing the mutual communication between the equipment, the single board can be inserted in the OSN3500 subrack slot 17, slot 18. slot 18 is the main board slot by default, and slot 17 is the backup board slot.

    OSN3500 SSN4GSCC Functions and Features

    The GSCC single board supports functions and features such as master control, official business, communications, and system power monitoring.

    The specific functions and features of the GSCC single board are shown in Table 1.

    Functions and Features Description
    Basic Functions Realize the configuration and scheduling functions of equipment services, monitor service performance, and collect performance events and alarm information.
    Interface
    • Provides 10M/100M Ethernet interface for communication with the network management, and the Ethernet interface is led out through the AUX board.
    • Provides F&f interface for COA management, which is led out through the AUX board.
    • Provides one 64kbit/s synchronous data interface F1, which is led out through the AUX board.
    • Provides RS232 interface OAM (Operation Administration and Maintenance) for connecting with PC or workstation, and supports remote maintenance of Modem using RS232 DCE (Data Circuit-terminal Equipment) interface. The OAM port is connected to the AUX board.
    DCC Communication

    Supports processing of up to 160 DCCs (D1 to D3), thus realizing transmission links for network management.

    Overhead processing Provides processing of E1, E2, F1, Serial 1 to Serial 4 bytes.
    Clock Function
    • Provides real clock RTC.
    • Supports high-precision clock synchronization characteristics and meets IEEE 1588v2 protocol. Access time information through the S1~S4 and ALMI4 interfaces of AUX, where S1, S3 and ALMI4 correspond to the 1st external time, and S2, S4 and ALMI4 correspond to the 2nd external time.
    Alarm and Maintenance Features
    • Provides features to monitor service performance and collect performance events and alarm information.
    • Provides 16 inputs and 4 outputs alarm switching processing through the AUX single board.
    • Provide 4-channel output switching alarm cascade interface through AUX single board.
    • The AUX board supports the control of 4-way cabinet indicator lights.
    • Provide intelligent fan speed control and fan alarm management function.
    • Supports analog packet loading and diffusion loading.
    • Support packet class data board in-place detection function.
    Power Management
    • Provides -48V/-60V power monitoring function.
    • Provide in-place detection function of power access board and failure detection function of lightning protection module in power access board.
    Protection Function Provide 1+1 backup for system control and communication units, and automatically reverse to the backup board when the main board fails.
    Description:

    In packet system application, two N4GSCC/N6GSCC need to be configured, and the same version of GSCC adopts 1+1 backup.

    Grouping Function

    N4GSCC and N6GSCC support grouping function.

    OSN3500 SSN4GSCC alarm indicators

    The indicators on the OSN3500 SSN4GSCC single board panel are:

    • Single-board hardware status lamp (STAT)-red and green indicator lamps
    • Single-board primary and backup status lights (ACT)-green light
    • Single-board software status light (PROG) - red and green dual-color light
    • Service warning indicator (SRV) - red, green and yellow color indicators
    • A-way-48V power supply indicator (PWRA) - red, green bi-color indicator
    • Road B - 48V power supply indicator (PWRB) - red and green dual-color indicators
    • System +3.3V backup power indicator (PWRC) - red and green bicolor indicators
    • Alarm Loss Mask (ALMC) - yellow light

    OSN3500 SSN4GSCC Single Board Interface

    There is no interface on the panel of the GSCC board, the interface it provides is led through the AUX board For detailed description, please refer to the interface description of the AUX.

    The N4GSCC/N6GSCC single board panel has one soft reset switch and one alarm cutout switch, the type and purpose of the switches are shown in Table 1.

    RESET Soft reset switch Pressing this switch softly resets the main control unit.
    ALM CUT Alarm cutout switch Short press the switch to cut out the current alarm sound. Press and hold the switch for 3 seconds to permanently cut out the alarm sound, and press and hold the switch again to cancel the alarm cut function.
