The CXL4 single board supports SDH signal processing, communication control, service scheduling, clock input and output, and other functions and features.

Optix OSN1500 SSQ2CXL4 SDH Processing Unit

The functions and features of the SDH processing unit of the Optix OSN1500 SSQ2CXL4 single board are shown in Table 1.

Basic Functions	Receives and transmits one STM-4 optical signal.
Optical Interface Specifications	Supports I-4, S-4.1, L-4.1, L-4.2 and Ve-4.2 standard optical modules.
Optical Module Specifications	Support optical module information detection and query. Supports the use and monitoring of SFP pluggable optical modules, which facilitates the maintenance and upgrade of optical modules. Support laser on and off setting and laser auto shutdown function.
Business Processing	Supports VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 services and VC-4-4c cascade services.
Overhead processing	Supports segment overhead processing for STM-4 signals. Supports processing of channel overhead (transparent transmission and termination). Supports setting and querying of J0/J1/C2 bytes. Supports 1 channel ECC communication.
Alarm and Performance	Provides rich alarm and performance events for easy device management and maintenance.
Protection Mode	The following protection methods are supported: Dual-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection Quad-fiber multiplexing segment ring protection Linear multiplexed segment protection SNCP protection SNCMP protection SNCTP protection Shared Fiber Virtual Path Protection
Maintenance Features	Supports inner loopback and outer loopback functions at the optical port level. Supports soft reset and hard reset, soft reset does not affect service. Support query function of single board manufacturing information. Support FPGA online loading function. Support smooth upgrade of veneer software.

Optix OSN1500 SSQ2CXL4 System Control and Communication Unit

The system control and communication unit functions and features of the Optix OSN1500 SSQ2CXL4 single board are shown in Table 2.

Basic Functions	Implements the configuration and scheduling functions for device services, monitors service performance, and collects performance events and alarm information.
Interface Specifications	Provides one 10M/100M compatible Ethernet network management interface, which is led out through the SAP board. Provide RS232 mode interface OAM port for connecting with PC or workstation, support RS232 DCE Modem for remote maintenance, and lead out through SEI board. Provides 1 official telephone interface and 2 outgoing subnet telephone interfaces, leading out through the SEI board. Provide 4-way broadcast data port Serial 1 to 4, leading out through SEI board.
Maintenance Features	The Q3CXL4 supports CF card with analog packet loading and diffusion loading functions. The standard configuration of CF card capacity is 512M, which can be expanded to 1G.
DCC Processing Capability	Supports D1-D1, D1-D3, and D4-D12 channel types, see Network Management Information Interoperability.
Fan Alarm Management	Provides fan alarm management function.
PIU Management	Provide the presence detection function of the PIU of the power access board and the failure detection function of the lightning protection module in the PIU.
Protection Mode	Supports 1+1 hot backup of cross, clock and master control unit.

Cross Connect Unit

The functions and features of the cross-connect unit of the CXL4 single board are shown in Table 3.

Fast emergency channels	Provide two 4Mbit/s HDLC fast emergency channels for realizing MSP, SNCP, TPS inversion and other functions.
Service Processing	Realize flexible scheduling of services. Adding or deleting this service does not affect other services. Supports SNCP protection at VC-4, VC-3, and VC-12 levels. Supports cascading service VC-4-4c. Supports up to 12 linear multiplexing segment protection groups. Supports up to 12 ring multiplexing segment protection groups. Supports up to 1184 SNCP protection pairs. Supports up to 592 SNCMP protection pairs. Supports up to 512 SNCTP protection pairs.
Protection Mode	Supports 1+1 hot backup of crossover, clock and master units, and the protection mode is non-recoverable inversion by default.

Optix OSN1500 SSQ2CXL4 Clock Unit

The clock unit functions and features of the CXL4 single board are shown in Table 4.

Basic Functions	Provides a standard system synchronization clock.
Other Functions	Support SSM information, clock ID extraction, insertion and processing functions. Q3CXL4 supports two external clock port passthrough DCC overhead information.
Input/Output	Supports the input of two 2048kHz or 2048kbit/s timing signals, and provides the function of selecting external timing sources. Supports outputting 2-channel 2048kHz or 2048kbit/s timing signals.
