Optix OSN1500 opens for business calls

Turning on the business phone for a network element provides a dedicated emergency call channel for network maintainers. You can configure the business phone for the network element after completing the creation of the network element and the single board on the network administrator.

Prerequisites

The user has "Network Element Operator" or higher privileges as a network administrator.

Steps

Click on the network element in the Network Element Manager and select Configuration > Public Affairs in the Function Tree. Select the General tab.

Click Query to query information about the network element side.

Set the "Call waiting time (s) ", "Phone number", and the port for official phone signaling.

Description:

The "Call Waiting Time" should be the same for all network elements interconnecting business phones. When the number of network elements is less than 30, it is recommended to set the call waiting time to 5 seconds; when the number of network elements is more than or equal to 30, it is recommended to set the call waiting time to 9 seconds.

Official telephone numbers cannot be duplicated within the same official subnet.

The length of the official telephone number must be set according to the requirements of the actual equipment, with a maximum of 8 digits and a minimum of 3 digits. The length of the number must be the same within the same official subnet. For the setting of official subnet, please refer to Subnetting Official Telephone Numbers.

The length of the business phone number must be the same as the length of the conference phone number.

When the subnet number length is 1, the first digit of both official phone numbers must be the same, and when the subnet number length is 2, the first two digits of both official phone numbers must be the same.

Click "Apply". A dialog box will pop up to indicate that the operation is successful.

Click Close.
