Optix OSN1500 Modifying Protection Subnet Parameters

Prerequisites

The user has the privileges of a network administrator in the Maintainer Group and above.

The data of each network element has been configured on the U2000 and the fiber has been created correctly.

The SDH protection subnet has been configured.

Procedure

Select "Service > SDH Protected Subnet > SDH Protected Subnet Maintenance" in the main menu to enter the " SDH Protected Subnet Properties" page.

Select an SDH protected subnet in the left pane. The right pane displays the attribute information of the protected subnet.

Description:

For unprotected chain, unprotected ring and DNI protection, you can only modify the protection subnet name. After selecting unprotected chain, unprotected ring or DNI protection, directly enter the new protection subnet name in the "Name" field to complete the modification.

Click the "Protection Subnet Parameters" tab.

Click Query to query the parameters of the SDH protection subnet.

Click the "Reverse Recovery Waiting Time (sec)" text box and enter the data.

Description:

The default for the reverse recovery wait time (seconds) is 600, but data between 300 and 720 can be entered.

For linear multiplexed segments, modification of the "Rewind Recovery Wait Time (sec)" is involved when the "Recovery Mode" is "Recovery".

Optional: Select " SD Trigger Condition".

Click "Apply" to bring up the "Result" dialog box, click "Close".

Optional: For the linear multiplexer, you can also modify the parameters of "Inversion Mode" and "Recovery Mode". The procedure is as follows:

Click on the "Protected Subnet Maintenance" tab to query whether the linear multiplexing segment is in the "Normal State".

When the linear multiplexing segment is in Normal state, set all Protocol Controllers of the linear multiplexing segment to Protocol Stop.

Click Apply.

Click the Protect Subnet Parameters tab and modify the Inversion Mode and Recovery Mode parameters.

Click Apply.

Click the Protect Subnet Maintenance tab to restore all Protocol Controllers to Protocol Boot for the linear multiplexing segment.

Click Apply.
