1. Replace the N1EFT8 board in slot 15, the alarm still remains, and plug the replaced board into slot 16 without reporting the HARD_BAD alarm, then cut the service from slot 15 to slot 16, and the N1EFT8 board in slot 16 starts reporting the HARD_BAD alarm again, and the HARD_BAD alarm for slot 15 ends after deleting the service. False alarms are suspected.
2, consult the R & D, learned that the EFT8 single board in order to circumvent the 9785 flow defects, the use of 9785 defect avoidance program, the principle of the program is roughly as follows: PHY9785 provides registers used to indicate whether the PHY receives a message and whether the PHY sends a message. Therefore, the EFT8 software detects whether the PHY receives a message and whether the MAC receives a message to determine whether the receiving side is disconnected; it detects whether the sending side is disconnected by detecting whether the PHY transmits a message and whether the MAC transmits a message; after detecting the port is disconnected, the software resets the 9785 chip and tries to recover the service, and if the service has not recovered after resetting for eight times, it will no longer try to reset and report to the HAC. If the service is not resumed after 8 resets, it will no longer try to reset and report HARD_BAD alarm.
3. It is suspected that the 9785 defect avoidance program misdetects the HARD_BAD alarm. Get the data according to the attached guide, R&D analyzed and confirmed that it is a false alarm. Upgrade the single board software to 7.54 and later versions can be completely resolved.
