OSN3500 device TE link is always in testing state

Description of the problem

3500---- microwave --- microwave ----3500, two 3500 devices of the intelligent domain are opened via microwave pairs, and the rate of the optical port is 622M, and D4-D12 on the microwave device has been done to pass through and the transceiver is normal at both ends. But the status of TE link has been in testing state.

Processing

1. Check whether the intelligent protocols of the ports at both ends are enabled, and find that the status of the LMP protocol and the OSPF protocol of the ports are both enabled;


2. In TE link management, select network-wide synchronization, and the status is not changed after TE link synchronization;


3, in the function tree, select "Intelligence > LMP Protocol Management", click the "LMP Auto Discovery Mode" tab, and modify the protocol discovery mode to D4 to D12 bytes, and the status of TE link returns to normal after the modification.




root cause

There are two discovery methods for the LMP protocol: one uses the J0 byte (default) and the other uses the D4 to D12 bytes. When there is a REG network element connected between two intelligent network elements, it is necessary to modify the LMP protocol discovery method of the corresponding single boards of these two intelligent network elements to D4 to D12 bytes. In this scenario, the J0 byte is used by default, and the J0 byte is terminated after passing through the microwave device, so only the D4 to D12 byte method can be used.


Solution

Modify the protocol discovery method to D4 to D12 bytes, and the TE link status returns to normal after the modification.

Suggestion and Summary

When there is a REG network element or other devices connected between two smart network elements, it is necessary to modify the LMP protocol discovery mode of the corresponding single boards of these two smart network elements to D4 to D12 bytes, and do D4-D12 penetration in the passing devices.
