The optical interface board N1SF64 of the OptiX OSN3500 and the A1SF64 of the OptiX 10G (Metro 5000) support different protocols, and the service cannot run normally after the two single boards are docked. After docking with two optical interface boards that support the same protocol, the service is back to normal.

Phenomenon Description
OptiX OSN 7500's optical wavelength interface board N1SF64 and OptiX 10G(Metro 5000)'s A1SF64 support different protocols, and the services cannot run normally after the two single boards are docked.
Cause Analysis
The N1SF64 supports the ITU-T G.709 protocol and cannot interface with the A1SF64 that supports the ITU-T G.975 protocol.
Operation Steps
Connect two N1SF64 boards with optical fiber.
Perform the calibration on the network management. The service is normal and there are no abnormal alarms.
Connect N1SF64 to A1SF64 with fiber.
Perform calibration on the network management, it does not work properly. Query the network element alarm as follows:
BEFFEC_EXC
PLL_FAIL
After the two single boards are unified as the same rate optical interface board supporting the same protocol, the service returns to normal without abnormal alarms.
Reference Information
Before performing network tuning, first determine whether the protocol used by the single board supports docking operation. If the protocols of the two docking single boards do not support docking, the service cannot operate normally after the forced docking tuning.
