Operation Steps
Select spare parts. Select a veneer with exactly the same parameters as the veneer being replaced.
Query the current alarms of the veneer on the network management.
If there is a fiber cable connected to the replaced veneer, record the location of the fiber cable connection first, and then remove the fiber cable with a fiber puller.
Removing and Replacing a Single Board
Description:
Unplugging the veneer will report BD_STATUS and COMMUN_FAIL alarms, and the alarms will be automatically lifted after the new veneer is online.
Check the basic slot view of the network element on the network management, and the new interface board slot turns gray, that is, it enters the normal state.
Verify that the single board works normally. Query the single board alarms to confirm that the alarms generated by the original single board have been lifted and no new alarms are generated.
