SDH transmission equipment OSN1500 clock protection and recovery configuration

When the OSN1500 network element is configured with multiple clock sources, the deteriorated clock source can automatically become the new tracking clock source of the network element after recovery only if the clock source is set to the automatic recovery mode. The SDH transmission equipmentOSN1500 needs to configure the necessary protection of the clock to ensure that the synchronization of the network element can operate normally. The relevant parameters for configuring clock protection and recovery are described in Table 1.

High-priority clock source recovery method

Automatic recovery, no automatic recovery

When the quality of the high-priority clock source deteriorates, the network element will automatically switch to the low-priority clock source; if "Auto Recovery" is set, the network element will automatically switch back to the high-priority clock source when the quality of the high-priority clock source recovers; on the contrary, if "No Auto Recovery" is set, the network element will not automatically switch back to the high-priority clock source. If "Auto Recovery" is set, then the network element will automatically switch back to the high priority clock source when the quality of the high priority clock source recovers; conversely, if "No Auto Recovery" is set, the network element will not automatically switch back to the high priority clock source.

Clock Source Waiting Recovery Time (min.)

0 to 12

Default value: 5

Sets the time from the recovery of the detected signal to the response of the clock selector, mainly to prevent the clock selector from being triggered by a short signal recovery.

Clock Source

Example: Internal clock source

Displays the name of the clock source.

AIS alarm occurs

Default: No

Sets the inversion condition enable state. When an AIS alarm occurs on a network element, the network element considers the corresponding clock source to have failed.

B1 BER overrun occurs

Yes, No

Default: No

Set the inversion condition enable state. When a B1 error code overrun occurs in a network element, the network element considers the corresponding clock source to have failed.

RLOS, RLOF, OOF alarm occurs.

RLOS, RLOF, OOF alarm occurs

Displays the inversion condition enable status. When the R_LOS, R_LOF, OOF alarm occurs on the network element, the network element considers that the corresponding clock source has failed.

The default is yes, and it cannot be set.

CV overrun occurs

Yes, No

Sets the inversion condition enable state. When CV overrun occurs in a network element, the network element considers that the corresponding clock source has failed.

CV threshold value

Displays the CV threshold value.

B2-EXC alarm appears

Yes, No

Sets the inversion condition enable state. When the B2-EXC alarm occurs in the network element, the network element considers that the corresponding clock source has failed.

Valid State

Valid, Invalid

Determines whether the clock source is valid for query only.

Locked Status

Locked, unlocked

Sets whether or not the inversion operation is allowed.

Rewind Source

Example: 11-N2SL16-1(SDH-1)

Displays the clock source that is tracked after the network element is inverted.

Rewind Status

Manual inversion, forced inversion, normal state

Displays the inversion status of the current clock source.
