TMB1TPS单板由两块PD1单板和一块DMS单板组成,实现TPS保护功能。支持TPS单板整体热插拔以及PD1单板的单独热插拔。单板重新插入机盒后,需要启动5分钟左右,才能进入正常运行状态。
- Do not use excessive force when inserting the veneer to avoid distorting the pins on the chassis.
- Insert the veneer along the anti-misplaced guide slots of each board position to avoid the components on the veneer from contacting each other and causing a short circuit.
- When holding the veneer, do not touch the electrical appliances, components, terminals, and wiring slots on the veneer.
- When pulling out the single board, pay attention to let the single board completely pull out, not completely pull out the case of re-insertion.
-
Unplugging a single board that carries services may cause service interruption. It is recommended that the hot-plugging operation of the veneer boards be scheduled at a time when the business volume is low.
- The interval between device power-down and power-up is recommended to be greater than 10 seconds.
- The interval between unplugging and plugging of single boards is also recommended to be greater than 10 seconds.
Procedure
- Select the spare. Select a spare board whose veneer name, version, and model are exactly the same as the veneer to be replaced.
- Query and record network element alarms.
- Enable the prompt of unplugging the board to be replaced on the network management.
- Check whether the single board to be replaced is configured with service protection.
If you force the reversal of a single board that is not configured with service protection or if you fail to perform the protection reversal operation, it will cause all the services on the single board to be interrupted.
- Notify the on-site maintenance personnel to remove and replace the veneer to be replaced.
- Replace the veneer. If the veneer to be replaced is a TPS veneer as a whole or a DMS veneer, perform 7, 8, and 9. If the veneer to be replaced is a PD1 veneer, perform 7 and 9.

The TPS veneer supports TPS 1:1 protection, which is a protection configuration for processing board PD1. Replacing the TPS veneer as a whole or the DMS veneer involves replacing the interface board DMS, which results in the interruption of services passing through that veneer.
- Unplug the PD1 veneer from the DMS veneer.
- To replace the DMS veneer board, refer to Replacing the Veneer Board for details.
- Insert the new PD1 veneer board.

- During the veneer replacement process, a software synchronization process will occur for several minutes, at which time the veneer PROG light is green and continues to flash rapidly. When the PROG light is green, it means the software synchronization is completed.
- After the replacement of the single board, the host software will automatically send down the configuration information of the original single board.
- Check the STAT indicator of the replacement veneer. It takes 5 minutes for the new veneer to work normally from the time it is plugged in, and the veneer indicator should be green at this time. If the indicator light is abnormal you need to unplug the board again or replace the board again.
- If you have enabled the unplugging prompt before replacement, you need to enable the unplugging prompt in the network management after the replacement is completed.
- Select the network element in "Element Manager", and then select in the function tree
- Select the board you want to set, double click "Enable prompt", and set it to "Disable".
- Click "Apply".
- Click "Query" to confirm that the query result is consistent with the configuration.
- Use NCE to check the alarms and performance events of the local network element and the peer network element, and confirm that the alarms and performance events in 2 have all been cleared.
