OSN3500 N2PQ1 single board port cannot be automatically unlooped after loopback

OSN3500 SSN2PQ1 single board has two functional versions, N1 and N2, and the main difference between the two versions is that different versions of single boards have different functions. Among them, the N1PQ1 single board has been discontinued. The single board belongs to the PDH processing board, which can be used on OptiX OSN series devices to realize the up/down processing of PDH signals. PQ1 single board must be used with the interface board to complete the access and processing of 63-channel E1 signals. The single board supports E1 signal processing, overhead processing, alarm and performance events, maintenance features, and TPS protection. The single board consists of an interface module, a mapping/demapping module, an interface conversion module, a logic control module, and a power supply module. The veneer characterization code is the code located after the veneer name in the veneer bar code.The veneer characterization code for the PQ1 is used to describe the interface impedance type. When the branch retiming function is not used, N1PQ1A can be replaced by the N2PQ1A condition. When the branch retiming function is not used, N1PQ1B can be replaced by the N2PQ1B condition. Depending on the interface impedance, PQ1 is divided into PQ1A (75Ω) and PQ1B (120Ω). When no distinction is made between interface impedance characteristics, the PQ1A and PQ1B veneers are collectively referred to as PQ1 veneers in the following text.

Problem Description

After a frontline engineer sets up an N2PQ1 single-board port inner loop on an OSN3500 R8C02 version network element, the loopback is never automatically released, . The loopback was eventually lifted manually. On the other hand, other line veneers can automatically release the loopback after setting the loopback.

Manually release the tributary single-board loopback.

Root Cause

The mainframe has been modified in R7 extreme later versions, and all branch circuit boards in R7 and later mainframe versions do not support unloopback. All line boards support automatic unloopback.

Set the loopback within port one of single board No. 7 through the command :cfg-set-loop:7,1,inloop
