Metro1000 J1 is the channel trace byte. Its function is that the transmitter continuously sends this byte, the high-order access point identifier, so that the receive end can confirm that it is in a continuous connection with the specified transmitter. When the receiving end detects a J1 mismatch, the VC-3 channel generates the LP_TIM_VC3 alarm, and the VC-4 channel generates the HP_TIM alarm.the J1 byte usually uses the default value, which sets the transmitting to "HuaWei SBS " and the receiving to the disable mode.the C2 is the signal mark byte, which serves to indicate the multiplexing state of the VC frame .is to indicate the multiplexing structure of the VC frame and the nature of the net information load, which requires the transceiver to match. When the C2 byte is mismatched, the VC-3 channel generates the LP_SLM_VC3 alarm, and the VC-4 channel generates the HP_SLM alarm. The VC-12 channel trace byte, which is used to repeat the low-order channel access point identifier whose contents are agreed upon by the transceiver and the receiver, enables the receiver to confirm that it is continuously connected to the transmitting end on this channel accordingly. This channel is in a continuous connection state. the VC-12 channel generates the LP_TIM_VC12 alarm when the J2 byte is mismatched.
Failure phenomenon
All Ethernet port services on the Ethernet veneer are interrupted.
Impact on the system
All Ethernet port services are interrupted.
Possible causes
- Cause 1: The single board is not in position.
- Cause 2: Service configuration error.
- Cause 3: Single board failure.
Tools, Instruments and Materials
- T2000
Operating Procedure
- Cause 1: The veneer is out of position, resulting in business interruption.
- Query the current alarm on the T2000.
If ...... then ...... the network element reports the BD_STATUS alarm. Refer to the Alarm Reference to handle the BD_STATUS alarm. Check whether the service is back to normal, if not, turn to other causes. The network element did not report the BD_STATUS alarm. Refer to other causes.
- Query the current alarm on the T2000.
- Cause 2: Business misconfiguration, resulting in business interruption.
- Query the service configuration of the single board on the T2000.
If ...... then ...... the service configuration is incorrect. Reconfigure the business. Check to see if the business is back to normal, if not, continue to the next step. The business is configured correctly. Continue to the next step.
- Query on the T2000 whether the single board is set up for loopback.
If ...... then ...... loopback is set. Clear the loopback. Check if the service is back to normal, if not, continue to the next step. No loopback is set. Continue to the next step.
- Query the TAG attributes of the single board port on the T2000.
If ...... then ...... the port attributes are incorrect. Reset the port attributes (including the enable state of the port, TAG attributes, and so on). Check if the service is back to normal, if not, continue to the next step. Port properties are correct. Continue to the next step.
- Query the T2000 to see if the local port operating mode setting is the same as that of the other end.
If ...... then ...... the port working mode setting is not consistent with that of the opposite end. Reset the port working mode of this end and keep it consistent with the opposite end. Check whether the service is back to normal, if not, turn to other reasons. The port working mode setting is consistent with that of the other end. Refer to other reasons.
- Query the service configuration of the single board on the T2000.
- Cause 3: A single board failure causes a business interruption.
- Query the Ethernet port data of the Ethernet single board through the RMON (Remote Monitoring) function on the T2000.
If ...... then ...... the Ethernet port is receiving data and not sending data. Refer to Parts Replacement to replace the faulty veneer. Check whether the service is back to normal, if not, turn to other causes. The Ethernet port has received data and sent data. Refer to other causes.
- Query the Ethernet port data of the Ethernet single board through the RMON (Remote Monitoring) function on the T2000.
