- Determine the type of faulty interface.
- When the faulty interface type is a 10GE WAN port, perform step 2.
- When the faulty interface type is a non-10GE WAN port, perform step 3.
- Check whether the configurations of the devices at both ends of the docking are the same.
Execute the command display interfaceinterface-typeinterface-number in system view to check whether the CRC checksum word length (field CRC) and scrambling enable state (field Scramble) of the devices at both ends are the same.
If the configurations at both ends are consistent, perform step 3.
If the configurations at both ends are inconsistent, modify them to be consistent, then execute the command port-alarm clear to clear the alarm, and if the fault still cannot be solved, execute step 6.
- Check whether the receiving/emitting power of the interfaces on both sides is normal and whether there is B1, B2, and B3 error growth.
Execute the display interfaceinterface-typeinterface-number command:
- When the transmit optical power Tx Optical Power is not within the normal range. replace the optical module.
- When the receive optical power Rx Optical Power is less than the receive sensitivity. please adjust the link or replace the optical module at the opposite end.
- When the field under SDH error shows that there is an increase in B1, B2, and B3 errors:

B1/B2/B3 increase at the same time: check whether the direct link (including the optical modules at both ends) is stable.

B1/B2 does not grow and B3 grows: this situation usually occurs when the routing and SDH transmission equipment are docked, and it is necessary to check the stability of the directly connected link from the remote ME equipment to the remote SDH transmission equipment.

After completing the troubleshooting of optical module specifications or link problems, execute the command port-alarm clear to clear the alarm, and if the fault still cannot be eliminated, please execute step 4.
- Check whether the fiber/optical module is plugged in.
Optical modules and optical fibers have clips, when inserting optical fibers or optical modules and hear the "click" sound, it means that the optical fiber or optical module has been inserted properly.
After inserting the fiber or optical module normally, execute the command port-alarm clear to clear the alarm, if the fault still cannot be solved, please execute step 5.
- Check whether the optical fiber is inserted correctly.
Pull out the optical fiber, switch the order of receive/transmit and re-insert the optical module, if the fault is eliminated, then it can be positioned as a result of optical fiber receive/transmit insertion error, if the fault persists, then please restore the optical fiber to the original insertion order.
Normal insertion of fiber optic transceiver/transmitter, execute the command port-alarm clear to clear the alarm, if the fault still can not be eliminated, please perform step 6.
- Collect the following information and contact a Huawei technical support engineer.
- The results of the execution of the above steps.
